They flushed his kidneys while he was sedated, so they had to shave his arm.

He goes back in two weeks for more shots and to see how the stitches are doing. Hubby is going to pick up a cone on the way home, so he can't get to the area while we are sleeping.

Well, the doc just called with the results from Buster's blood work. He said everything looked good. His thyroid is fine, sugar levels are fine. The one thing that was elevated was his Kidneys. But, he said he can have the surgery. Yahoo! (now the real nerves settle in)
He said while he is sedated, he is going to flush out his kidneys.
Cost of surgery: $350.00
Cost of Kidney Flush: $100.00
Cost of a happy & healthy Buster: Priceless!!!!!!

I know that this is not Cricut related, and I am sorry! It is about our dog Buster!
He has a tumor on his side, (it is actually coming out of his 10th nipple). It is big and infected.
Hubby took him to the vet on Saturday and the vet confirmed it was a tumor and HAS to be removed with surgery. Ugh, I am a nervous wreck about it.
Here is Buster in the car with daddy on the way to the vet!
He got weighed (73 pounds), had blood work done, got a few shots and got some medicine. The blood work results we get tomorrow (April 28th) to see if he is okay to have the surgery. If all goes good, he is scheduled to have it on Wednesday. He will stay overnight (nervous wreck again) and come home Thursday!.
I just ask all of my friends to keep Buster in your prayers, that the blood work will be okay and that he can have the surgery. I will keep you all updated.

Today I am sharing a Make It Now card using the Cricut Explore and Design Space.
This is called the Succulent Card. (although mine is not so succulent LOL). It is also a Print then Cut card, because the flowers are printed.
While this was fun, I sure did make some boo boos. As you can see by the photo, my text is crooked, and I have glue globs everywhere. I used the Stampin' Up! 2 Way Glue Pen, great glue unless like me, you use to much :)
The colors of card stock I used were Soft Suede for the base of the card, Crumb Cake for the strip, and Sahara Sand for the lettering. Again all Stampin' Up!
The flowers printed really well. You can even see the detail on each of them. (I used our new Canon Pixma MX922)

How cute right? It measures about 4 x 4 when you use 2 12 x 12 pieces of card stock. I think this is perfect for the little ones to carry around at an Easter Egg Hunt. Today I am sharing a super fun and easy box made with the Cricut Design Space. The box image is from the Tags Bags Boxes & More 2 cartridge, this is a free cart if you have the monthly subscription.
I made this the Stampin' Up! Kraft Card Stock, you can find that HERE. It is neutral and very durable and great for boxes. I left mine plain, but you can certainly jazz it up by stamping or inking around the edges.
For the heart cutout, I cut up a cello bag to use for the window. I made a tag with the heart that was cut away, tied it into a bow and hung it on the side of the box. Great for a tag!
I wrote the phrase "I love you" using the DonJuan font (another free one), and the had the machine draw it out using the silver marker that came with the Explore. You can add whatever text you would like here, I just thought it went well with the heart. (plus it is for my hubby)
Here is a side view of the box showing the tag all tied up with a pretty bow, using the Stampin' Up! Linen Thread. I inked around the edges, so it would not get lost on the box.
I received an email from Cricut yesterday regarding passwords for the I Pad App.
Here is the email:
We discovered a bud with iPad app which does not allow passwords that contain certain special characters. That's why some customers say they can login to the web version but not the iPad app. Our plan is to fix the bug with the iPad app so all characters will be allowed. Since Apple will need to approve our changes, we don't yet have a timeframe for this fix. I don't yet have a list of which special characters are to blame.
To fix this, you can go to cricut.com and login the way you always do, then change that password to one that does not contain any special characters, then hopefully you will be able to login in with iPad app.

A little bit of info about the new machine: this comes right from the Cricut website:

Well, if you are anything like me, you live on Pinterest. There are so many good ideas on there. I came across a propane tank painted to look like a pumpkin and thought Oh my goodness this is to cute not to share with all of you.
Here is the one I seen on Pinterest:
How cute is that right? It looks like they painted the tank orange and then maybe hand painted the face on. Well, again if you are like me, you can't paint :) So I thought, Cricut Explore to the rescue and we would use vinyl.
Be safe when you are using a propane tank, this one is completely empty of all gas, hubby took it some place to get checked.
I also decided to go with a yellow color vinyl, I thought it would give the look of a light shining through after the pumpkin is carved.
I am so happy with the way this turned out. And I am for sure going to repaint it and do it again to look like a snowman for the holidays (yes, of course I will share)
Who doesn't love pie, especially the calorie free kind, right? Yum! I am a pie nut. My favorite is Coconut Custard, with Apple Pie being a close second.
Anyway, here is today's Make It Now project. I love the Make It Nows, great for when you are stumped on what to create. When I seen these, I knew I would love them!
How cute it that? I am in love with it. You can use these for little gifts for co-workers, hair stylist, postal workers, teachers, the list goes on and on. You can even cut a few of these out and put them together to form a whole pie and use as a centerpiece.

Who's ready for some football? At our house we are always ready! I am a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan and the hubby, well sad to say he is a St. Louis Rams fan. You can laugh, I do all of the time. He always seems to root for the underdog. lol
At least, neither of us are Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans, they got crushed last night against the Atlanta Falcons. Final score was 56-14 OUCH!!
OK, lets talk treats or treat boxes. This a Make It Now project, a really cute one by the way. It only takes one piece of card stock, so it is also inexpensive.
OK, so you are not into football! No big deal, you can make these anyway you want.
Change out the stripe for snowflakes, for a a Christmas Box.
Put school images on the box for a fun gift for the teacher.
Use religious symbols for Church friends.
Weld a shape into it, put acetate behind it and a battery operated candle.
As you can see there a ton of ways you can use these boxes. The most important part, is have fun!
Today I am sharing some really cute paper pumpkins. These are so fun and really easy. These would also be great for the little ones to get involved in. They can choose the papers, or even use plain paper and have them draw on them, so they can have their own personalized paper pumpkin.
I think these would also be really pretty done in different sizes and use them as a centerpiece at the Thanksgiving table OR do them smaller and have them be the place settings. Another option would be to use Christmas paper and use them as paper ornaments. You get the idea, lots of things you can do with these!
Here is the file for them and here is the video. I sized them at 4 inches. If you want to change the size, just highlight them, right click, select detatch and then change to the size you want. Be sure to go back to the top tool bar, hit select all and then go to the layers panel and click on attach. That way you can fit them on one sheet of paper.

I hope all of you are having a fabulous day! Today I decided to play around with the new Printable Vinyl and Printable Sticker Paper from Cricut. This will be available to purchase once the Print then Cut feature goes live (week of September 22 2014)
The Printable Vinyl is really thin, almost like contact paper. But worked really well. I had the dial set to vinyl on the machine and cut away.
For the Printable Sticker Paper, this is much thicker, like a heavy card stock. On the machine I had the dial set to card stock and it cut out with the perfect kiss cut.
I can myself having fun these 2 products.

The Print then Cut feature with the Cricut Design Space and Cricut Explore is going to be LIVE next week. I know, I too am jumping up and down in excitement. I did do a short video sharing what it looks like now, and there are more to come.
I still want to focus on the "regular" Explore videos as well, not just the print then cut, hope you all don't mind.

I hope all of you are doing well. Today I am sharing a Holiday Block project with you. These are all over Pinterest and I thought how fun and probably easy would it be for us to make our own, right?
So I came up with these.
My wood was just a 2 x 4 cut in half lengthwise. Then my oh so wonderful husband cut them down into smaller pieces for me.
The sides and bottom are 2 x 6. the two small ones are 2 x 2 and the other one is 2 x 3. Of course you can make yours whatever size you would like. You can even have your local lumber store cut them down for you :)
After they were cut, I sanded them, then wipe off and extra dust with a cloth. Then I did 2 coats of paint. Just plain acrylic paint from Walmart. I also sanded some of the paint down to give it the not so new look. We used the Explore for the lettering, I cut that from Georgia Pacific card stock, again from Walmart.
I made my own modpodge by using two parts school glue to one part water.We applied that first on the front of the block and added our letters and another coat of modpodge. Once that was dry, I did three more coats of modpodge on all of the side, so the entire block would be sealed.
Once dry, I added a little ribbon to the center block just for a little pizzazz.
I hope all of you had a great weekend! Today's project is super simple but still so cute! I wanted to make a quick Halloween card for my grandson. I used the Create A Critter 2 cartridge, which is included in the Design Space Subscription Plan.
I also used Action Wobbles to make the ghost look like it was flying! I forget where I got mine at as it has been a few years, but I did find some places that you can now find them (Your welcome)
Is he not the cutest ghost ever? I think Jcee will get a kick out of him and really enjoy this card! I also did some faux stitching around the card and also on the hat using a silver metallic gel pen
OK, the sizes.
The ghost was 2.85 W x 3.83 H, the Phrase (Boo) was 2.56 W x 1.23 H and the Pumpkin Border (inside) was 3.58 W x 1.75 H
